JLC Limited

Jim Lewis, Managing Director of JLC Limited, operates a Jaguar/Landrover service centre in south London.

The company was successful but its ability to increase its turnover and profits was being restricted as it was not on either manufacturers approved service centre lists.

Something needed to be done.

A change in advisors to Alexanders meant that strategic planning could be discussed, procedures drawn up and an implementation timetable put into effect.

One of the key decisions was to apply for approved service centre status which meant putting in new equipment to demonstrate the company’s commitment to high service standards (which was relatively easy to do as Jim’s team of engineers were already meeting those requirements) and to source the finance to pay for it all.

With Alexanders assistance throughout the whole process, which included maintaining the accounting system whilst appropriate staff were found and trained, the disruption to continuing to trade and the implementation of the new systems were minimised. The result of everyones hard work is now showing in terms of increased work loads, turnover and profits.
